The G-S-S style WRAS approved Steel EPDM gasket with dimensions to BS EN 1514 is designed to make and maintain a tighter seal than a standard rubber gasket.

The Steel EPDM WRAS Gasket has a vulcanised steel ring for safe centring according to DIN EN 1514-1 PN6 – PN40, and tight sealing according to DIN EN 13555. The indication is that 15MPa is optimum gasket stress.

Advantages

  • Low stress sealing allows low torque requirements.
  • Owing to the versatility of the gasket material, it can be used on mis-matched or slightly misaligned flanges as the pressure is dispersed evenly.
  • The elastomers used have excellent energising properties that, if installed properly, maintain a tight seal regardless of fluctuating pressure and temperature.
  • The durability of the rubber offers a tight seal even on rough faced flanges and enamel coatings.
